The Future of Street Sweeping Starts in San Antonio November 2nd
Celebrating its 15th year, the Sweeper Summit comes to the beautiful La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, where attendees from across the country will gather to learn, collaborate, and build relationships that extend well beyond the conference. The event unofficially begins Monday evening, November 2nd, with a Happy Hour mixer, setting the stage for two days of industry-leading education, hands-on exhibits, and multiple networking opportunities.
Tuesday features the official opening of the Sweeper Summit, highlighted by a student water-quality program, an afternoon at Topgolf, and the Welcome Reception, where attendees can reconnect with colleagues, meet exhibitors, and discover the latest innovations shaping the industry. Networking continues into the evening with a relaxed After-Hours gathering poolside.
On Wednesday, attendees will take part in expert-led panels, stormwater discussions, leadership development sessions, the Outdoor Equipment Expo, and indoor exhibits showcasing the latest products and services. The Summit concludes with the Soirée Cocktail Reception and Gala Dinner, celebrating another year of advancing the power sweeping industry together.

Tuesday morning kicks off with Only Rain Down the Drain, an educational outreach program where local students use chalk art to illustrate an important environmental message: clean streets lead to cleaner waterways. The program demonstrates how proper street sweeping helps keep pollutants out of storm drains and waterways. Supported by 1-800-SWEEPER member, Texas Site Services, the initiative showcases the sweeping industry’s commitment to protecting water quality while building meaningful connections within the San Antonio community.
The afternoon moves to Topgolf, sponsored by United Rotary Brush, where casual competition and conversation set the stage for meaningful networking and fun. Enjoy lunch and a beverage and, if you’re game, try out your golfing skills. The Welcome Reception is the evening’s main event and runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The evening concludes poolside with the After-Hours After Glow.

Led by the National Municipal Stormwater Alliance (NMSA), the initiative brings together stormwater professionals, municipalities, manufacturers, and contractors to develop practical, consistent ways to measure and communicate the environmental value of street sweeping. It focuses on practical questions: what should be measured, how results can be reported consistently, what information is useful to a municipal program and what an operator can reasonably collect in the field.
The goal is simple: provide cities with the data they need to recognize street sweeping not just as maintenance, but as an essential water-quality management practice, opening stronger municipal partnerships and new opportunities for contractors and manufacturers.
